Jesus longs for His return

It was while I was living in Guatemala. I was sitting at my dining room table listening to a Christian radio program and feeling the presence of the Lord very close to me. Suddenly I saw the Lord Jesus Christ. He was standing in a large castle, in an upstairs hallway. He was dressed as a young prince of old. His soft white pants were topped by a white tunic style shirt which fell loosely to His hips. At his waist He had a belt which held a sheathed sword on the left hand side. His feet were enclosed in soft white ankle high boots. At His left side was a person whose face I could not see, but by the slight drooping of His shoulders I could tell that He was older. He was dressed in the same style of clothing except that from His shoulders hung a kingly robe of purple and gold.

In my mind I knew that the older person was God the Father. He was about to present His son as King to His people. Jesus was leaning down resting His elbow on a small table that ran along the wall of the hall as He watched the saints of all the nations entering a large beautiful salon, below.
As He watched He became very excited. He said, "Look how many they are. I have never seen them all together before, MY sacrifice did this!" He was so happy to be soon united with all of us.

I felt amazement as I watched how eagerly He had anticipated this moment. My mind began to think how His people were looking forward to this day. Many were praying, "Lord, I know your coming is soon, but I want to get married first so please don't come too fast" Others would say, "Yes, I want the Lord to come back, but I want to have a family first. Of course you want Him to come, you have already had everything that this life can offer, but I am young and need to build my business first."
Even some of the pastors and the leaders of the churches are saying, "Oh, yes, He needs to come back, but the church has a lot more things to do here on earth, first."

So many plans, so much so that God's desire is not the desire of many in the church today. Why would we desire to continue in this present age. Heartaches, disillusionment, sickness and trials are on every hand. Instead of praying as Jesus told us to pray, "thy kingdom come, they will be done on earth even as it is in heaven"*, we pray wait, wait, let our will be done on earth, so let heaven wait.
Don't we understand that when Jesus returns it isn't the end, but it is a new beginning. We will see Him, we will dwell with Him. He will sit down on His throne in Jerusalem and rule the earth with Love, equity and peace.
We will live in our homes and work on our land. We will safely walk down the streets at all hours of the day and night. We won't be afraid, we won't be harmed. Life will be free from worries and cares, from sickness and death.. Perfect peace will be our ruler. He is not coming to make life a burden, He is coming to set the nations free.

We will abide in the presence of eternal and perfect love. He will straighten out the economical problems. No one will live in poverty. Death will not takes us, there will be no sorrow or pain. Life will be beautiful.
He created us for communion with Him. He desires this, but we do not. How sad that we are willing to sell out our birth right for a handful of sorrow and sadness, which is what we obtain in this present age. He will bring a new meaning to life. Only then will we really know all the potential that He has created in us. He loves us. The great God and Creator of all the universe desires to be reunited with us.
Let me ask you, what are you holding on to that would keep you from desiring the return of Jesus Christ to this earth?

At the turn of the millennium many were predicting the soon return of the Lord, but when it didn't happen in the time span that they predicted, they began to preach that He wasn't coming yet, or they even began to say that He isn't coming back at all. All of these things tell me that His coming is very close. Jesus said, "in such an hour as you think not, the Son of Man cometh."**

The nations are in such chaos that everyone is turning against everyone else. Fifteen years ago Israel was experiencing what seemed to be love and acceptance on all sides. It looked as if a peace agreement would be signed at anytime. Today, anti-sematism is on an overwhelming increase. Many of their neighbors are seeking a complete annihilation of the tiny little country. All of this is spoken of by Jesus and He told us that when we see these things start to take place that we should look up as our redemption was drawing near.***
Jesus is coming soon. He is looking forward to rejoining His people. Are you joyfully awaiting Him as well?
"Behold I am coming soon! My reward is with me and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. I Jesus have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright Morning Star. The Spirit and the Bride say come! And let Him who hears say come! Whoever is thirsty let him come; and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life ....Yes, I am coming soon." Amen, Come! Lord Jesus.
